Q is for ?

The Alphabet in Historical Fiction is hosted at Historical Tapestry .

Quest as in Grail quest : Bernard Cornwell's Grail Quest trilogy is unput downable!

It will have you cheering the hero on and wanting to strangle the odd really dense character also.

I couldn't not include the originator of the phrase/saying "grail quest" could i?

Book 1 had me up till the small hours trying to finish it! As well as crying in parts.

Some chapters of book2 had me crying as i read them . I'm looking forward to book3 the final of the trilogy.

Some if the recent suspence/thrillers out today, could also be termed, "grail quests" although they are not all the same!
I'm not sure which can out first "Da Vinci Code" or this:
In my view this is better.

Daughters of the Grail by Elizabeth Chadwick i got from my local library recently and loved it .Finished reading it in a week, but then i do always devour EC's books!
This one is part of the back catalogue which I've yet to work through.

New challenges continued!

Another i started a bit late! I'm signed up at 25 books .
Which is hosted by Home Girl's Book Blog.

As well as this one hosted by @ KMont .

Hopefully having untill the end of the year should mean i can complete these challenges!

Some new challenges....(not aiming too high this time!)

I'm abit late starting this one!
Which is hosted at Enchanted by Josephine .

I'm joining a "La Princesse: Read 3 books".

Some musings on this theme; I was thinking back and i fondly remember this ,

Also this :

I will post later with my book selection for this challenge.

WWW Wednesdays

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

* What are you currently reading?
* What did you recently finish reading?
* What do you think you’ll read next?

I'm currently reading "The Malice of Unnatural Death" by Michael Jecks .
I'm playing catch up on this series while i wait for book 30!

I have just finished the other 2 "No Law In The Land" and "The Bishop Must Die".

What do i think i'll read next ? I have "Requiem The Fall of the Templars" by Robyn Young waiting.

Teaser Tuesdays

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teasers:"You may try ,but all these people saw the man take my parchment .You may try to deny that the inquest has proved my age , and you will lose : John Biset said scathingly ."I am of age ,and i own the wardship of Maubank.I will not give it away ,nor the manor".

The Bishop Must Die by Michael Jecks

Musing Mondays

This week’s musing is going to be a bit simpler…

What are you currently reading? Would you recommend it to others? Is it part of a series (if so, which one)? What are you thinking about it? What book(s) would you compare it to, if any?

I'm currently working my way through the Templar Mysterys by Michael Jecks, which are a series.

I have to say i love this series and I'm always left wanting more ! I'm waiting for the next in this series to appear .{There are 30 books in this series.The Oath book 30 being out soon!}

I don't think i could compare this series to another and i can't think of any they're like.

Would i recommend them yes .

May & June reading reflections

I was doing an I.T course in May so exams, ect had priority . Having some favs for the few reading challenges helped alot.As did having some rereads in the mix.
I only have a few left for the Royal Reviews:Historical Fiction Reading Challenge

I'm waiting for some books to appear at the moment I have ordered To Defy A King EC .

I have a few series i think i need to reread, and Darkmans by Nicola Barker which i meant to include in the challenge but forgot!

My home internet connection was down for a few weeks in June, as well has having no computer for another two weeks as it was in for repairs.
