Beyond The Veil.

Desdemona, a witch of unfathomable power, has escaped the wolves' wrath, but she will not go quietly into the night. She takes refuge in a place where even the smallest sliver of light does not dare to enter. Though she had to flee, she has not given up on the treasure she wishes to ac..."

Fate and Fury.
"The last few days have been the darkest of Sally's life. After experiencing the joy of finding her mate, she now suffers the pain of losing everything she holds dear. Both the Romanian and Serbian packs have been captured, ripping Sally's soul mate away from her almost as soon as she had found him. Her best friend and the emotional glue that usually holds Sally together, Jacque Pierce, lies writhing."

Sacrifice Of Love.
"As one evil falls, another rises in its place. The powerful witch, Desdemona, has finally been killed by an alliance of wolf, elf, and fae. But Reyaz, brother to Cypher the warlock king, has vowed retribution for a life that was taken from him. Now Cypher must decide not only how to protect his newfound mate and his people, but also how to destroy the only family he has left. Meanwhile, Jen’s pregnancy progresses and the fateful due date draws ever nearer. The thought of losing Decebel’s child constantly threatens to overwhelm her. With each passing day, Decebel grows more distant, causing Jen to wonder what toll the impending loss of their child is taking on him. Unbeknownst to Jen, in an act of desperation to protect his unborn child and mate, Decebel strikes a deadly bargain with the Great Luna—his life in place of his child’s. There is only one way for that to happen; the bond between he and Jen must be broken. As Jen as Decebel struggle through their darkness, another kind of darkness is infiltrating Fane’s heart. Doubts and questions linger as he tries to cope with the emotions brought on in the aftermath of Desdemona’s curse. He knows what happened wasn’t real, but still he can’t rid himself of the terrible images seared into his memory. Jacque is his light, the one who keeps the darkness at bay, yet he won’t let her inside to do just that. Sally continues to learn what it means to be a gypsy healer and Costin struggles to protect her as she runs full speed ahead to help her wolves, heedless of her own safety. She sees her best friends struggling, each enduring their own trials. She’s desperate to help them, but can she keep them safe? With all of these things hanging heavy over the heads of the Serbia and Romania packs, their attention is divided. The wolves do not even realize a threat has slowly infiltrated their midst. Will they recognize the threat in time to save the lives that precariously hang in the balance?Against this backdrop of darkness, choices will be made, fears will confronted, and the ultimate sacrifice will be made. Will the wolves stand together to defeat the threats arrayed against them, both from within and without? Will love conquer all? Or will the beleaguered wolves finally succumb to their demons?"

Blood Tears .
"A foreign child - taken to live under Azrar's protection as his ward. But what strange ability does this girl possess, that so terrified her own people it led them to abandon her in Isolann's wolf-ridden forests? And will it aid in Prince Azrar's destruction or his survival?"

Blood Lament.

"Falsely accused - Jazriel - hurt beyond measure, embarks on a reckless path. Can Gabrielle protect him and guard the secrets of the Dark Kind or will he bring destruction down on them all?"

Blood Alliance .
"In the face of overwhelming odds, old enmities must be set aside if the world is to survive a powerful and terrifying attack of zombie forces controlled by an alien super-intelligence. But can ancient hatreds be overcome or will they be the undoing of the Blood Alliance? In this stunning conclusion to the Dark Kind Vampire series, Blood Alliance shows award-winning fantasy horror author Raven Dane at her very best. This new edition from Endaxi's Prosochi Press has been re-edited and re-set to a high standard to join its matching companion volumes on your bookshelf or eReader."

Dracula by Bram Stoker .
"'it was butcher work...the horrid screeching as the stake drove home; the plunging of writhing form, and lips of bloody foam' Bram Stoker's 1897 Gothic shocker introduced Count Dracula to the world, an ancient creature bent on bringing his contagion to London, the very heart of the British Empire. Only a handful of men and women stand between Dracula and his long-cherished goal, but they are vulnerable and weak against the cunning and supernatural powers of the Count and his legions. As the horrifying story unfolds in the diaries and letters of young Jonathan Harker, Lucy, Mina, and Dr Seward, Dracula will be victorious unless his nemesis Professor Van Helsing can persuade them that monsters still lurk in the era of electric light. The most famous of all vampire stories, Dracula is a mirror of its age, its underlying themes of race, religion, science, superstition, and sexuality never far from the surface. A compelling read, rattling along at break-neck speed, it is a modern classic."

The Dublin Years ,The Lost Journal of Bram Stoker by Elizabeth Miller & Darce Stoker.
"An extraordinary literary find--the lost notebooks of the man who wrote "Dracula."

The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova .
"Breathtakingly suspenseful and beautifully written, Kostova's phenomenal #1 bestseller tells the story of a young woman plunged into a labyrinth where the secrets of her family's past connect to an inconceivable evil: the dark 15th-century reign of Vlad the Impaler.

Musing Mondays {Oct14}

Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week…
• Describe one of your reading habits.
• Tell us what book(s) you recently bought for yourself or someone else, and why you chose that/those book(s).
• What book are you currently desperate to get your hands on? Tell us about it!
• Tell us what you’re reading right now — what you think of it, so far; why you chose it; what you are (or, aren’t) enjoying it.
• Do you have a bookish rant? Something about books or reading (or the industry) that gets your ire up? Share it with us!
• Instead of the above questions, maybe you just want to ramble on about something else pertaining to books — let’s hear it, then!
I have a bit of a rant today :

I won an Ipad Mini in March and have been taking a look at ibooks both the "free" and the "paid" ones.
I have long had a sort of distrustful view of ibooks and ebooks ,when it comes to the self published i really want to scream .
The problems are many:

1.Just because you intend it to be "free" DON'T forgo spelling ,grammar and punctuation!
If i find an ibook or ebook in what looks like "Text Speak" I discard and mark the author as don't touch.
If you went for a job interview and submitted your CV in "text speak" you would not get the job.

2.Don't insult the intelligence of your readers , two well known authors have spent the past year and a half denigrating the readership  of a genre ! Don't jump off the sane metaphorical cliff.

3.If you self publish get a good editor and a proof reader. Your readers want to read the book not spend their time spell checking !

4.Give first time authors a chance .When i read the reviews of first time authors I sometimes feel like screaming .
It isn't necessary to be overly harsh , try writing a book of any length yourself and see how easy it is.

These are just some observations .
